Multicultural teams are now the norm in the modern agile corporate culture, but interaction with people from different cultures comes with real challenges to the way in which people work and communicate. What can work in a specific field or country may not be effective at all in another. Ignoring this or merely being unaware of it can create unnecessary tension, frustration and miscommunication leading or working in an international team. The disastrous result for the team and the company is loss of time, money, revenue and nerves.
Intercultural competence is a skill that can be learned and needs practice. It ultimately enables effective and professional performance in any cultural setting. In this hands-on presentation I will provide you with the tools and strategies to guide you through the apparent maze of intercultural communication. Our aim is to create a working environment in teams and organizations that are inclusive, effective, innovative and satisfying. We will have in the end a Q&A session and discussion round.
